{"id":4174,"date":"2021-04-20T12:10:26","date_gmt":"2021-04-20T10:10:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/help.r2docuo.com\/knowledge-base\/single-use-replacement-labels\/"},"modified":"2023-11-06T09:20:47","modified_gmt":"2023-11-06T08:20:47","slug":"single-use-replacement-labels","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/help.r2docuo.com\/en\/knowledge-base\/single-use-replacement-labels\/","title":{"rendered":"Single-use replacement labels"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>How do they work<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Docuo conventional substitution tags can be added to Microsoft 365 documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with the following syntax:<\/p>\n<pre>&lt;@Grupo de campo:Campo&gt;<\/pre>\n<p>Every time Docuo processes a document, it replaces these labels with the values of the corresponding fields.<\/p>\n<p>If you later change the value of those fields, Docuo can replace these values again in the Office document with the &#8220;Replace Labels&#8221; action or when publishing a new version.<\/p>\n<p>Although this behavior is useful in most situations, it prevents users from being able to freely edit already replaced text. That way, if a new tag replacement occurs, your changes can be overwritten as well.<\/p>\n<p>For example, if you&#8217;re composing a smart document template using tags, you&#8217;ll want users to be able to freely edit the resulting document, without worrying about replaced text, and delete or change any part of the document.<\/p>\n<p>For these cases there are <strong>single-use substitution labels<\/strong> .<\/p>\n<p>These tags have a very similar syntax to conventional tags. Simply, the @ is replaced by a #:<\/p>\n<pre>&lt;#Grupo de campo:Campo&gt;<\/pre>\n<p>One-time tags are also replaced with the corresponding values when the document is processed.
