The home button allows an administrator to create a personalized workspace for Docuo users and collaborators, so they can find in one place the most useful items and actions based on their profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Items configured by an administrator on the Home button do not prevent the user from adding his own. In this case, the user\u00b4s items will appear at the top of the list, and those configured by the administrator below, separated by a line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Types of elements at startup<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There are different types of items that can be added to Home:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Folder<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Lets you add a repository folder to Home. The user or collaborator must have visibility and access permissions to it, otherwise it will not appear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Category<\/strong> (users only)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Allows you to add a repository category to Home. The user must have visibility and access permissions to it, otherwise it will not appear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Query<\/strong> (users only)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Allows you to add a repository query to Home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Queries of type “All users” can be added to the Home button of any user group. Queries owned by a user can only be added to their own Home button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New document<\/strong> (users only)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Adds a link that allows you to create documents of the specified category. The user must have visibility and access permissions to it, otherwise it will not appear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Data collection web form<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Adds a link that allows access to a data collection form. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the form is configured to allow anonymous access, it can be added to the Home button of any user or collaborator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the permissions of a form are limited to some users or collaborators, the link will only appear on the Home button of the authorized ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Link<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Adds a link to a web page using the specified URL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Manage Home items<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

An administrator can add, delete or modify Home items at the “User”, “User Group”, “Contributor” or “Contributor Group” level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Home button of each user will be made up of the sum of the elements of his user tab, plus the elements of the groups to which he belong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To manage Home items, you need to open the “User Manager” or the “Collaborator Manager”. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both in the users tab and in the groups tab, you can access the “Home items” tab:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This tab shows all the elements that will be available on your Home button, both those configured for it and those that appear for your membership in a group, marked in blue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hiding Home items for a user<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

It is possible to hide elements coming from a group for a specific user, with the “Hide elements” action, available through the context menu:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hidden items can be shown again with the “Show Items” action:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is recommended to add items to Home by groups and hide when necessary from users, to facilitate their management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
