File type fields in Docuo allow users to store any file in them. By default, the file saved in that field will have the same name as it had on the user’s computer.
However, it is possible to configure Docuo to automatically rename files stored in such a field.
To do this, in the field options accessible from the category wizard, we must select the ” Automatically rename” option, the value ” Yes, according to the field name ” or ” Yes, using tags ” as shown in the image:
” According to the name of the field ” renames it statically with the name of the “Group – Field” plus the extension corresponding to the file.
” Using tags ” is a more complete option, since it allows you to indicate a name based on the document’s own metadata using substitution tags. For example, for a field that contains the front of a ID card, we can configure it as follows:
